Welcome to the Coastal Bend Court Reporters Association

CBCRA 2009 - Letter from the President

Dear Fellow Court Reporters, Students and Associates:

I would like to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to CBCRA in 2009.  Yes, another year has arrived, and now is the time to help keep this wonderful association in full swing.

Some of you probably know me from past gatherings in the court reporting world on the local, state or national level.  I was President of CBCRA in 1994 (before email!), so here I am again 15 years later ready to guide this association through another successful year.

I can remember the very first meeting that I attended with CBCRA in the year 1989.  The active reporters welcomed me into the association as a green and novice reporter.  Those experienced reporters inspired me by example to set my professional goals high, work hard and give back to the profession.  I hope to keep the spirit going of CBCRA that I have enjoyed all of these years.

My goal as President is to keep this local association one that every reporter looks forward to as being professional, educational and, most of all, fun to be involved with.  Your input is extremely important to this association and also your willingness to help serve.

Please see the 2009 CBCRA CAlendar for upcoming events and meetings.  Any ideas on future guest speakers and events are welcomed at any time of the year.

Please fill out your 2009 Membership Application, mail it in, and you can help make 2009 another successful year for CBCRA!

Respectfully,

Lisa T. Riley

CBCRA President
