LeeAnne Reeves Scholarship

The scholarship is named after LeeAnne Reeves, a colleague who passed away in the late 1980's. LeeAnne had only been certified for a short period of time before she lost her battle to leukemia, but she was a true inspiration to many.

The scholarship recipient is named at the Annual Meeting/Christmas party. The Scholarship Committee meets and selects a winner based on an essay written on a chosen court reporting related topic. The $500 award is to assist with education costs for the Spring semester.

While some of the money is raised throughout the year with fundraising projects, the bulk of it comes from the generosity of court reporters. Ideally, we would like to see this scholarship grow so that we can aid a student through the Fall and Spring semesters in a given year.
